Caitlin Costa is a native to Tampa Bay. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 2011, and went on to receive her juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2014. While at Stetson, Caitlin was a student leader and scholarship recipient. She was elected to the Calvin Kuenzel Student Bar Association each year, and was awarded the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award, the Judge Susan F. Schaeffer Scholarship, and the Pinellas Community Foundation Scholarship. Caitlin also conducted research for two prominent Stetson professors in the areas of International Law, Elder Law and Constitutional Law.
After law school, Caitlin worked for Michael P. Maddux, P.A., and practiced primarily in the areas of state and federal criminal defense, civil rights litigation and personal injury. She is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Caitlin has been a volunteer with Lawyers for Literacy since 2014.
