Sangeeta P. Spengler is an experienced member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in Florida state and federal courts. She has devoted a significant portion of her practice to the defense of professional malpractice, employment law, general casualty, toxic mold, and consumer law claims.
Sangeeta has spent the last nine years of her career successfully defending companies against a variety of consumer claims, including but not limited to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Sangeeta graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in English in 1994. She received her law degree from Southern Illinois University in 1997, where she was a PHI DI PHI Honors Fraternity Member.
Following law school, Sangeeta gained significant trial experience as an Assistant State Attorney in both Sangamon County, Illinois, and Hillsborough County, Florida, and as an Assistant Attorney General in Florida. She has prosecuted a wide variety of felony cases including complex embezzlement, bank and mortgage fraud cases for the White-Collar Crime Unit of the Hillsborough County Prosecutor’s office. She has also prosecuted and defended general civil cases, including employment discrimination and professional malpractice matters.
She was previously a member of the Legal Needs of Children Committee for the Florida Bar. She has also been a speaker on the issue of attorney fees for the Florida Bar and has previously published the following articles: Hold that Clause!, The Third District Court of Appeal Addresses Limits of Liability Clauses; and A Reminder About Experts and the Ever-Changing World of Law.
